Woman struck by stray bullet at San Jose restaurant

SAN JOSE (BCN) -- A woman was wounded by a stray bullet Tuesday night while inside a restaurant near the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, a police spokeswoman said.

At about 9 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a shooting at a business in the 2300 block of Senter Road, police Sgt. Heather Randol said.

The woman injured in the gunfire was struck by at least one round and was taken to a hospital where she was reported in stable condition, Randol said.

The victim was an innocent bystander and police are still looking for the suspected shooter and trying to determine the motive and intended victim of the shooting, Randol said.
