The KTVU Guide to Super Bowl 50
(KTVU) - From traffic to special events and Fan Fests, KTVU has gathered all the information you need to know to celebrate (or avoid) Super Bowl 50.
There are three major events during Super Bowl 50 week: Super Bowl City, the NFL Experience, and the game itself. There will also be plenty of concerts and other special events leading up to the game. Here's what you need to know before heading out the door:
SUPER BOWL CITY
Location: Justin Herman Plaza, and portions of the Embarcadero and Market Street
What to Love: Getting into Super Bowl City is free!
What to Hate: If you work in the Financial District, it's time to try telecommuting
Centered in Justin Herman Plaza, Super Bowl City is a free fan village that opens the weekend before Super Bowl. Along with free concerts (Alicia Keys anyone?) and interactive fan areas, Super Bowl City will be the home base for thousands of fans visiting during Super Bowl week.

NFL EXPERIENCE
Location: Moscone Center, 747 Howard St, San Francisco
What to Love: Meet and greets with NFL players!
What to Hate: It may be filled with a bunch of Patriots and Seahawks fans
Located in the largest convention center in San Francisco, the NFL experience is being called an "interactive theme park" for NFL fans. Besides autograph sessions with current and former NFL players, visitors will also get to play interactive games and take pictures with the Lombardi Trophy.

SUPER BOWL 50
Location: Levi's Stadium, 4900 Marie P DeBartolo Way, Santa Clara
What to Love: The biggest party in the country is happening in our own backyard

Super Bowl 50 will be the first Super Bowl to be played in Northern California since the game at Stanford Stadium in 1985.

Hours: Kickoff is at 3:30 pm, tailgating parking lots open at noon
Ticket Price: $$$$$
The NFL manages tickets and will give a majority to the two teams that make it to the Super Bowl. Many of those tickets will then end up on the secondary market for much more than face value. The NFL recommends only buying those secondary tickets at the NFL Ticket Exchange.
How to Get There: Unless your in the South Bay, getting to the stadium will take at least an hour driving or on public transportation. We recommend taking Caltrain from San Francisco, or Amtrak or the ACE train from the east bay.
