Shower chances in the North Bay

A disturbance will be moving in from the north Friday. We should have a split forecast in the Bay Area. Mostly sunny skies are expected in the South Bay. The clouds and shower chances will be favoring the North Bay. Sunshine returns this weekend. An unusually strong system could approach the Bay Area early next week. Have a great weekend! -Mark

A shot of light rain comes through Friday, generally limited to Sonoma County where a few hundredths of an inch will fall in the valleys and a tenth to two tenths of an inch in the coastal ranges.

Jewish businesses targeted for hate crimes; police investigating

At least two businesses in Palo Alto were targeted by vandals, apparently because they displayed symbols of Israel or for the safe return of Israeli hostages. The Palo Alto Police Dept. said on Thursday one of the incidents is being investigated as a hate crime.
