Bay Area drying out after overnight thunderstorms

Isolated thunderstorms possible again this afternoon over Mountains of San Benito and Interior Monterey County, however, the Bay Area is drying out and the weather is settling after a very active Wednesday night! Partly sunny today with seasonal highs from the 60s and the Coast to 70s around the Bay.

Lightning starts house fire in Brentwood

Lightning lit up the skies Wednesday night throughout the Bay Area, and firefighters in Brentwood said one such strike caused a house fire when the electricity hit a weather vane on top of the roof.
