In the North Bay, PG&E crews are still grappling with outages across the region after this weekend's powerful storm. Some areas aren't expected to get their power back until Tuesday evening.

The Kaiser Permanente-sponsored San Francisco Half Marathon, scheduled for Sunday morning, was canceled due to the harsh weather conditions, but people prepared to run the race said they didn’t get notified of the cancelation until half an hour before it was supposed to begin.

San Francisco, like most of the Bay Area, is drying out and surveying the damage after this past weekend's windy storm caused a lot of problems. 

Punishing weather across California killed a person in Santa Cruz County, knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people and felled trees in water-logged cities from Santa Rosa to Santa Barbara.

This weekend's atmospheric river system continued to batter the Bay Area on Sunday, including in the North Bay, where high winds easily toppled trees onto homes, power lines, cars and even a fire engine. 

Wind and rain battered the Bay Area and much of California over the weekend, leaving hundreds of thousands without power and causing widespread damage from flooding and trees. 

Several people, dogs and puppies were rescued from the Guadalupe River in San Jose on Sunday afternoon. 

Widespread rain and howling winds greeted the Bay Area as another storm rolled through Sunday after first hitting the Bay Area on Saturday, causing hundreds of thousands of PG&E customers to lose power.

Along the San Mateo County coast, first responders and PG&E crews are braced for high winds and heavy rain overnight and through the weekend, with an atmospheric river system now rolling through the Bay Area.
