Health Disparities in the Black Community
February is Black History Month, a time to honor the history and resilience of the black community. But for some, health disparities remain a pressing challenge. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, black adults are 30% more likely to die from heart disease than their white peers, with high blood pressure being a major culprit.
