Cooler weather moving into Bay Area

Monday will be mostly cloudy in the morning with patchy fog, and then become sunny by the afternoon.

Highs will be in the 50s to upper 60s by the coast  and will reach the 70s inland.

It will be mostly clear in the evening, becoming mostly cloudy with patchy fog after midnight.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy in the morning with patchy fog, and then become partly cloudy.

Showers could move in Wednesday and Thursday.

According to KTVU Meteorologist Steve Paulson, the unsettled weather activity will continue until at least the middle of the month.

Paulson says this year's rainy season appears to be longer than normal because of the El Nino weather pattern.

Hot temperatures won't be back until the middle of the month, according to Paulson.
