2 rescued from overturned vehicle crash on I-80 in Vacaville
VACAVILLE, Calif. - People trapped in an overturned vehicle were rescued by fire personnel on Interstate Highway 80 in Vacaville early Sunday morning.
The California Highway Patrol responded at 5:45 a.m. to a report of a vehicle on its side about 75 feet off the roadway on westbound I-80 just west of Leisure Town Road.
About 60 feet of chain link fence was damaged in the crash was damaged and the driver and passenger, both conscious, were able to tell responders they were trapped inside the vehicle, the CHP said.
Fire personnel were summoned to free them from the vehicle, the CHP said.
