3.1M earthquake strikes near Alum Rock in Santa Clara County

A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in northeastern Santa Clara County on Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was reported at 6:54 a.m. and was centered about 15 miles east-northeast of Alum Rock and 17 miles south-southeast of Livermore near the county line between Santa Clara and Alameda counties.

No damage has been reported from the quake.
