Bay Area rapper E-40 rolls out new tequila line at Lake Chalet on Election Day
OAKLAND, Calif. - Rapper E-40 spent Election Day polling fans on how much they liked the rollout of his new tequila line.
As voters on Tuesday were choosing who they wanted for governor, E-40 set up shop next to Lake Chalet to introduce his Silver, Reposado, and Anejo tequilas on his E. Cuarenta Tequila line ("E-40" in Spanish), which he launched in February.
“I’m feeling real good,” he told KTVU. “I’m launching my new tequila and new tequila bar.”
As for his favorite? “I don’t have one,” E-40 said. “I drink them all.”

He pointed out the prime location of his bar along Lake Merritt. “Check out the ambiance with the water in the background,” he said.
The pier bar at Lake Chalet will be open seasonally depending on weather and focus on tequilas and beers from south of the border, the East Bay Express reported. Ceviche tostadas, such as tequila-infused shrimp ceviche with serrano pepper and cucumber salsa, will also be on the menu.
During the rest of the NBA Finals, the bar's only tequila in stock will be E-40's E. Cuarenta.
E-40 gave Warriors a big shout-out: “The Warriors are great for business and great for people’s spirits,”
KTVU's Lisa Fernandez contributed to this report.
