Man stabbed to death outside San Jose restaurant

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) -  An investigation is underway into a deadly stabbing in east San Jose early Friday morning.

The attack happened around midnight, on Story road, near Emma Prusch Farm Park, Highway 101 and South King Road.

Police said there was some type of fight in a restaurant parking lot, and it ended with the attacker stabbing the victim.

Officers responded to a report of a homicide, and when they arrived, they found the male victim had been stabbed in the neck.

He went inside the restaurant and collapsed.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not know if the attacker ran away, or drove off.

This is San Jose's 18th homicide this year.

There were 8 homicides at this time last year.
