Santa Clara County reports eight new cases of COVID-19, total stands at 32
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. - The Santa Clara County public health department announced Saturday afternoon that the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has increased by 8. The total now stands at 32.
The department made the announcement on Twitter Saturday but did not offer any additional details on the ages or genders of the new cases. They also did not provide information about how the eight cases may have originated.
On Friday, the Santa Clara pulic health department announced four new cases of coronavirus.
Of the four cases announced Friday, three were men and one was a woman. Two of the four were hospitalized, while the other two were at their homes.
The public health department said they would be conducting community surveillance to determine the extent of possible disease spread in the community.
A week ago the county only had three confirmed cases.
