SF Fire Department makes quick work of Mission Bay shed fire

SAN FRANCISO (KTVU) - San Francisco Fire Department made quick work of a one-alarm fire in the Mission Bay neighborhood on Tuesday. The department said they had the upper hand on the fire just after 4 p.m. when thick-black smoke could be seen over the city's skyline.

The fire department tweeted that the fire stemmed from a shed within a food truck complex located at Mission Bay South Boulevard and 4th Street. 

By 4:16 p.m the fire department tweeted the fire was contained. The smoke had all but dissipated from the sky. There were no injuries to report. 

A KTVU viewer sent us video of thick-black smoke in the area. 

Officials with the San Francisco Fire Fighters Local 798 union said there is also "astro turf" burning.

SF Fire said most of the smoke from the "accidental, electrical-extension cord" fire was from the burning astro turf and the small storage sheds. 

No propane or cooking products burned in this blaze.
