Man fatally shot in East Oakland

A woman was shot and killed in Oakland Wednesday night. Video from Citizen App shows several police cars in the area of the shooting.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in East Oakland Wednesday night.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the 2200 block of Seminary Avenue, according to Oakland police.

When officers responded to the scene they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name was not immediately released.
