PALO ALTO, Calif. - Stanford University is removing the name of its controversial founding president from campus buildings and streets.
David Starr Jordan was Stanford's president from 1891 through 1913.
Among other things, he supported policies that, ultimately, led to forced sterilizations in the United States.
