WATCH: Shark steals fisherman's catch

HARWICH, Mass. - It turns out a group of fishermen weren't the only ones trying to catch some striped bass off the coast of Cape Cod.

A family from Rhode Island quickly realized they had some competition after hooking a big fish Monday. While reeling in their catch, a 12-foot great white shark jumped on and chomped down on the striper. 

After an intense fight, the shark decided it was ok with just a snack and swam away. 

The family was left with about half a catch and a great story to go along with it.
