TEEN BURGLARY SUSPECTS SOUGHT: San Jose police are asking for the public's help in identifying two teenage boys who broke into a home.

The burglary happened on the 2800 block of Smithers Drive about 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27.

The two youths got inside through an unlocked sliding glass door and ransacked two bedrooms. One of them used a pry tool to open the door leading to the garage.

The two are described as white or Latino, 16 to 18 years old, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds.

You can see surveillance video here.

Anyone with information is asked to contact San Jose police Detective Sgt. Mike Montonye at (408) 277-4401.

CAR THIEF SUSPECT SOUGHT: San Francisco police say they've identified a car-theft suspect but just need to find him.

The incident began when a man pulled his 2004 Honda Accord into the Shell gas station at 1200 19th Ave. on the southern edge of Golden Gate Park about 1:45 a.m. Jan. 5.

The man left his car running and the keys in the ignition while filling up and then went into the gas station store, police said.

When he came out of the store, he realized that his car was gone.

Police reviewed surveillance video, which you can see here, and identified John McFarland, 24, of Stockton as the man who stole the car.

San Leandro police recovered the Honda the next day, but McFarland remains at large.
