The world's largest camera built in Menlo Park
MENLO PARK, Calif. - The first images taken by the world's largest camera are coming in from the National Accelerator Laboratory in Menlo Park.
The camera is located atop Cerro Pachón, a mountain in central Chile but it was constructed at Stanford's SLAC lab.
It cost $168 million and weighs more than 6,000 pounds.
The camera will shoot photos of 20 billion galaxies and give new insight to scientists about space.
