- Beneficial rain across the Bay Area arrives Saturday - Large swell has returned with hazardous beach conditions through the weekend - Warming and drying trend for next week! Tonight will be slightly warmer, especially across the North Bay and Bay Area as clouds continue to increase as the front approaches. Prefrontal rain will be possible early Saturday morning with main band moving through the North Bay between 3 AM and 7 AM, the Bay Area between 5 AM and 9 AM, the Santa Cruz Mountains and South Bay between 9 AM and 1 PM, and then the remainder of the Central Coast after 1 PM. Rainfall amounts will be beneficial across the North Bay with the coastal ranges picking up between 0.25"-0.50" with less than 0.20" in the valleys. Less than 0.10" in the city of San Francisco and little to nothing as you head southward and inland. Winds will be breezy to windy, southwest 10-20 mph with occasional stronger gusts. Bottom line...cloudy, cooler and breezy with a smattering of showers. Have a nice weekend!

Today will see fog and sun, clouds with rain on Saturday.

High clouds will begin to increase from the north as a cold front approaches Friday night. We are expecting the front to move in late Friday night and into early Saturday morning bringing beneficial rain to the North Bay where generally up to .25" will be possible with less than .10" across the San Francisco Bay Area. The front will dissipate as in progresses southward toward through Saturday when the Santa Cruz Mountains could see generally less than .10". Elsewhere, less than 0.05" is expected through Saturday. A secondary frontal is forecast to move through the region Sunday morning through afternoon resulting in a little less than the first for the aforementioned areas and little to no rain expected across the Central Coast. Post frontal rain showers will be possible, especially across the North Bay, in wake of the second frontal passage into Sunday night or early Monday morning. Cooler conditions temperatures are forecast for this weekend with them dropping up to 10 degrees below seasonal averages. :sunny:

As one system moves out to the east, we are tracking a stronger storm in the Pacific. This system may impact your weekend plans. Thursday morning starts off with some clouds. Partly sunny skies are expected later in the day. Highs should range from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. The next system, linked up with an Atmospheric River, moves into the picture Saturday morning. The significant ran will be focused to the north of the Bay Area. The bulk of the rain, up to .75 inches, will be in the North Bay. Shower chances may linger in the Sunday forecast.
