Bay Area skiers flock to Tahoe ahead of big storm

A major snow storm is expected to blanket the Sierra with some much needed snow this weekend. The National Weather Service is warning of the potential for blizzard-like conditions in the mountains much of Saturday, and Caltrans says travel on area roads could be “difficult to impossible."

Rough surf continues to batter Bay Area coast

Public works crews in Pacifica were called in to plug a void in the city's sea wall created by the relentless surf. Workers from the city said they would be checking on the fix throughout the storm and reassessing the damage afterwards.
