Keshawn Ward joined the KTVU news team in September 2023 as a sports editor and producer. He also does digital sports reporting.
He's a Bay Area native, born in Oakland and raised in Pittsburg.
Keshawn graduated from Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. "LC WHO YA WIT." He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports management and earned an associate's degree in journalism at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg.
Before joining KTVU, Keshawn was a sports anchor/reporter with WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia from 2020-2023. During his time in Georgia, he covered the college football national championship, Peach Bowl, SEC Championship, the career of Lebron James, the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and the Atlanta Hawks. He also hosted and produced a weekly sports talk show, and gave analysis and breakdowns on a Friday night football show "The Locker Room Report".
Keshawn is also a former collegiate athlete and worked for the Oakland Raiders for their last season in Oakland, and at the Pac-12 Conference after graduating from college in 2019.
His passion for reporting began after high school. Always mindful that he couldn't play football forever, Keshawn planned to transition his life into sports media once his career on the field concluded.
Keshawn loves spending his free time with his family and friends, eating out, exercising, and when he’s not watching anything sports-related, he loves watching movies!
He has especially enjoyed returning to the Bay Area and looks forward to continuing his career at KTVU!
