Mass arrests in SF: Padilla, Schiff protested for aiding Israeli military

Hundreds of people staged simultaneous sit-in protests both in San Francisco and Los Angeles on Wednesday. The protesters are demanding Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff stop the U.S. from arming the Israeli military. In San Francisco, more than 100 arrests were made. 

San Jose awards AI grants to companies tackling maternal health, food waste

Today the city of San Jose announced the four winners of it's AI Incentive Program: a grant initiative they call the first of its kind. City officials say they looked for companies working on big issues like maternal health, food waste reduction, and the next generation of satellite data processing.

Judge finds Hercules Taser video 'disturbing;' case moves forward

A federal judge allowed several claims to survive in a young man's lawsuit against the city of Hercules, the police department and fire district, after "disturbing" body camera video showed authorities pulling him out of his car after he suffered a grand mal seizure and stunning him with a Taser.

Our morning began with the normal gray skies from a deep marine layer pushing onshore. Clouds will clear back to the Coast with high temperatures from 65 in Pacifica to 88 in our warmest locations. Expect gradual warming into the weekend with highs topping off in the mid 90s over the weekend in the hottest Inland locations. There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for the Greater Tahoe area from Noon until 10pm tonight.

Mobile home park residents fight for their legal rights

The residents of one of the Bay Area's most affordable mobile home parks want to give the city a half million dollars a year for decades to but buy the park that they are entitled to purchase, But realistically, they will have paid for it twice.
