Phoenix stays triple digits for all of July

Phoenix sizzled through its 31st consecutive day of at least 110 degrees Fahrenheit and other parts of the country grappled Sunday with record temperatures after a week that saw significant portions of the U.S. population subject to extreme heat.

Pretty sunny skies throughout the day for most of the Bay Area with slightly warmer than average temperatures across the region. Expect a high of 94 for inland areas, 77 around the bay and 63 on the coast.

Phoenix, Ariz. is experiencing record heat at nearly 120 degrees, but here in the Bay Area we?re protected by our lovely fog this morning. The fog will eventually burn off and temperatures are expected to be around average here on Friday with a high of 89 inland, 73 around the bay and 61 on the coast.
