The marine layer clears back to the coast today with warmer afternoon highs wit i the 60s in Pacifica to low 90s Inland. NW and West winds 10-20 mph. Gradual warming Friday with Saturday the hottest of the holiday period, approaching 100 degrees in Calistoga as firefighters continue to knock down the Pickett Fire.

Our morning began with the normal gray skies from a deep marine layer pushing onshore. Clouds will clear back to the Coast with high temperatures from 65 in Pacifica to 88 in our warmest locations. Expect gradual warming into the weekend with highs topping off in the mid 90s over the weekend in the hottest Inland locations. There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for the Greater Tahoe area from Noon until 10pm tonight.

A healthy marine layer around 2000ft has filled in across our coastal areas and inland valleys during the overnight. Expect the gray skies to retreat to the coastline by late morning/early afternoon for most locations with seasonal temperatures under mostly sunny skies area wide. The mid-level moisture and associated conditional instability remains over the region today, but similar to Monday, not expecting any thunderstorms to develop. May feel a bit humid Inland, but that's about it. A near "perfect summer day as far as historical stats are concerned with highs banking from 64 in Half Moon Bay to 90 at the Delta.
