Two years ago, the then 13-year-old suffered a heart attack at school, and was saved thanks to the quick thinking of her principal, Stephen Theall, who gave her CPR until paramedics arrived. The two were recently honored by the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation — Theall for saving his student's life, and Freligh for her efforts to educate people about the importance of knowing how to perform CPR.
