Bathrooms at the Powell Street BART station have re-reopened, complete with a toilet paper cutting. All the hoopla was because BART closed the restrooms at underground stations after the Sept. 11 terror attacks iin 2001.

Nearly 1,500 California bridges are 'structurally deficient'

California has 1,493 bridges classified as structurally deficient, according to the Federal Highway Administration, That means 5.8%, have at least one key element such as the deck, superstructure, or foundation, rated in poor or worse condition.

Person falls onto BART tracks at San Bruno station

BART is reporting a person fell onto the trackway at San Bruno station Tuesday afternoon. Trains did not stop at the station for about an hour, due to a “major medical emergency.”

Employee complaints spike at Santa Clara County's VTA

Data received by San Jose Spotlight shows 129 complaints have been filed with VTA's Office of Civil Rights as of Dec. 9. That is significantly higher compared to last year, when employees filed 76 complaints.
