A free COVID-19 testing site in Hayward that opened on Monday as broadened the criteria for those who qualify.

A man who was found fatally shot early Sunday morning was identified by police as 19-year-old Farrarri Johnson of Oakland.

The deadly shooting at a Hayward Airbnb over the weekend is raising more questions about safety.

Police said John Creech Jr., 20, of Hayward, was shot in the area of Santa Clara Way and Yolo Street at about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The discovery comes less than eight hours after a shooting victim was pronounced dead at 4:45 p.m. in the area of Amador Way and Yolo Street.
