Unprovoked hammer attack in San Mateo leaves man with severe head trauma

A 41-year-old San Jose man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly attacking a man with a hammer and stealing a vehicle in San Mateo, according to police.

New report show Santa Clara County’s homeless population decreased, homeless families increased

Santa Clara County’s latest homelessness count shows the number of unhoused individuals fell by 1.2% across the county and by 4.7% within San Jose city limits.
