The search for Brian Laundrie, the sole person of interest in the Gabby Petito case, has now reached its seventh day as crews from multiple agencies have scoured the massive Carlton Reserve. The manhunt has so far yielded no results, as the grueling, exhausting search through the swampy terrain has slowed law enforcement.

Brian Laundrie is now officially a wanted man. While police previously classified him only as a missing person of interest in Gabby Petito’s disappearance, the FBI now says there is a warrant out for his arrest.

The high-profile search for Gabby Petito came to an end this week after the FBI confirmed that her body had been found in Wyoming – but the search is ongoing for many other Americans who remain missing.

Law enforcement spent another day Wednesday searching a Venice preserve for Brian Laundrie, the person of interest in the Gabby Petito case. For the first time, investigators brought in a dive team and cellular signal boosters.

The FBI said at a news conference Sunday that remains discovered were "consistent with the description" of Gabby Petito but that a full forensic ID was still pending.

With Gabby Petito still missing, five different law enforcement agencies began searching the Carlton Reserve, a 25,000-acre park in Sarasota – not for Gabby, but for Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in her disappearance.
