SFPD discuss plans to derail sideshows

San Francisco police say they're monitoring chatter and preparing crews for the possibility of sideshows. It was just one week ago that a series of illegal car stunt shows took over the streets of San Francisco and the Bay Bridge. 

CHP investigate I-80 shooting amid busy holiday travel weekend

Westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near University Avenue in Berkeley were temporarily shut down Saturday at around 11:30 P.M. as CHP investigated a shooting on the freeway. Officers say one car was involved, but that none was injured.

Rogue fireworks display blocks traffic on Bay Bridge

Videos on social media show an unsanctioned, yet elaborate, fireworks display happening on the Bay Bridge Tuesday evening. The display apparently blocked traffic along the western span of the bridge headed into San Francisco. 

More commuter parking opens to ease Bay Bridge traffic

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission is opening two commuter parking lots in the hopes of cutting down on traffic across the Bay Bridge as the number of drivers is approaching pre-pandemic levels.

Fines being reduced for bridge toll violators

The the agency tasked with administering toll revenues from the Bay Area's toll bridges, announced that the penalty for first violation notices is dropping effective immediately from $25 to $5, and the penalty for second violation notices will drop from $70 to $15.
