Continuing efforts to make good on a central campaign promise from a couple of years ago, Mayor Matt Mahan, (D) San Jose, will hold a midday news conference to unveil the "Homeward Bound" program. Based of a plan first implemented in San Francisco in 2005, "Homeward Bound" will provide bus or train tickets to unhoused residents so that they can return to their home communities.
