The city of Santa Rosa on Tuesday announced they will require city employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19 effective October 1. 

Thousands of people are signed up for two days of running in Santa Rosa: 5k and 10k races on Saturday and a half-marathon and full marathon on Sunday. The poor air quality is causing some concern.

A Santa Rosa homeless shelter reopened to intakes Friday, nearly two months after it was closed following an outbreak of COVID-19 in early July, according to a city spokesperson.
