Woman killed in freeway crash near Oakland Coliseum

The California Highway Patrol was alerted just before 3:45 a.m. to the crash on the southbound side of the 880 Freeway just north of Hegenberger Road, near the Oakland Coliseum.

Two Weather Advisories Remain In effect for the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend. First, The Heat Advisory which includes every Inland area until Saturday night at 9 PM. Secondly, an Air Quality Advisory For Solano, Sonoma and Napa Counties due to smoke from the Pickett Fire which continues burn near Calistoga. Unseasonably warm to hot temperatures will continue Inland while the return of the marine layer cools the Coast and Bay. Expect high clouds, (blow off from monsoonal moisture) to push through the Bay Area with a very slight chance of dry lightning in the Inland Areas. Seasonal temperatures will return by Wednesday.
