Big rig overturns in Sunol

A big-rig hauling aluminum sulfate that ended up on its side Wednesday in Sunol did not leak harmful fluid, Alameda County fire officials said around 4 p.m.

School in Sunol needs supplies after flooding damages campus

The flooding is a result of Sinbad Creek overflowing and an older bridge nearby that caused the water to back up. The creek’s water receded a few days later, giving school officials a chance to prepare for Wednesday’s atmospheric river storm.

Marsh fire near Sunol scorches more than 1,700 acres

A group of fires near the Sunol Regional Wilderness and the Calaveras Reservoir have burned more than 1,700 acres and still had zero containment Monday morning, according to Cal Fire.
