An Amtrak train collided with a vehicle at the end of Stevenson Boulevard in Newark early Thursday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

Caltrans will next week temporarily close the number one, two, three and four bores of the Caldecott Tunnel overnight starting Monday.

A driver who died Saturday morning after his car veered off a freeway exit in Fremont was apparently traveling at an unsafe speed, the California Highway Patrol said.

There was a fatal collision on I-880 when a big rig struck a car stopped in the middle lane of the freeway.

The motorcycle struck the bicycle and crashed, leaving the rider with serious injuries.

Caltrans says it’s making every effort to minimize disruptions during the three year project.

The express lane runs on northbound Highway 680 between south of Auto Mall Parkway and state Highway 84, and can be used by carpoolers, motorcyclists and transit vehicles.
