The park had closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic but will reopen on July 2 as an animals-only experience with various talks from animal care specialists and animal demonstrations at outdoor venues.

A Vallejo man is speaking out after finding racist graffiti spray painted at Blue Rock Springs Park where he takes his daily walks.

The Solano County coroner's office has ruled the shooting death of a woman last Tuesday in Vallejo a homicide, police said Monday. 

Protesters gathered in Fairfield on Monday with a demand to the Solano County district attorney - prosecute Vallejo police officers involved in deadly shootings or recuse yourself.

The shooting in the 1000 block of Gateway Drive was reported shortly before 10 p.m., after the man was driven in a private car to the hospital.

School districts in Palo Alto and Vallejo are considering whether to reopen their buildings to students in the coming school year.

The vigil was part of a wider demonstration protesting police violence against people of color. 

Several protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement are planned Saturday around the Bay Area.

Officers responded at 9:49 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Cynthia Avenue and arrived to find five gunshot victims ranging in age from 10 to 63 years old.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three people with gunshot wounds.

The incident unfolded outside of the Walgreens store on Redwood Street and Broadway. Officers who responded were returning to the store for the third time in about a two hour timespan.
